Second‐Order Nonlinear Optical Activity of Dipolar Chromophores Based on Pyrrole‐Hydrazono Donor Moieties

Donor1+donor2→acceptor : The second‐order NLO molecular properties of a class of dipolar chromophores that incorporate the following design elements are investigated: 1) a substituted hydrazono moiety as a strong donor; 2) a pyrrole ring as an auxiliary donor; 3) strong acceptor groups (see figure). Their first hyperpolarisabilities show good promise for use in electro‐optical devices.

     

On a forward-backward parabolic equation

Boundary value problems for the equation $$\operatorname{sgn} (x) \cdot u_y - u_{xx} + ku = f(x,y)$$ (where k is a positive constant and ? is a given function) are investigated. The domain of the solutions will be the whole upper half-plane y>0, or the half-plane y>0 cut along the positive y-axis. We are interested in square integrable solutions u, with square integrable generalized derivatives u_y and u_xx. Existence theorems are proved, with an integral equations technique. Thus a theory is developed of Wiener-Hopf integral equations of the first kind with solutions belonging to Sobolev spaces.     

Generation of GW radiation pulses from a VUV free-electron laser operating in the femtosecond regime

Experimental results are presented from vacuum-ultraviolet free-electron laser (FEL) operating in the self-amplified spontaneous emission (SASE) mode. The generation of ultrashort radiation pulses became possible due to specific tailoring of the bunch charge distribution. A complete characterization of the linear and nonlinear modes of the SASE FEL operation was performed. At saturation the FEL produces ultrashort pulses (30-100 fs FWHM) with a peak radiation power in the GW level and with full transverse coherence. The wavelength was tuned in the range of 95-105 nm.     

Novel coordinating motifs for lanthanide(III) ions based on 5-(2-pyridyl)tetrazole and 5-(2-pyridyl-1-oxide)tetrazole. Potential new contrast agents

Water-soluble and neutral Ln(III) and Zn (II) complexes of pyridine- and (pyridine-1-oxide)tetrazole have been synthesized and the Gd derivatives have great potential as high-relaxivity low-osmolarity MRI contrast agents.     

抗阿尔兹海默症藏药三味豆蔻汤的化学成分分析研究

三味豆蔻汤作为藏药的经典方剂,由药材豆蔻、香旱芹、荜茇和牦牛奶熬煮制成,其对阿尔兹海默症(Alzheimer′s disease,AD)具有一定的治疗作用。该方剂化学成分复杂且极性、挥发性差异大,相关的物质基础研究较少。该研究分别采用气相色谱-质谱(GC-MS)、超高效液相色谱-高分辨串联质谱(UPLC-HRMS/MS)技术针对三味豆蔻汤中不同极性组分进行检测分析,以了解其物质组成。结果显示:从三味豆蔻汤中共发现并鉴定出99个化学成分,分别为豆蔻和香旱芹中含有的含氧单萜和单萜烯类成分(如桉油精)、荜茇的生物碱类成分(如胡椒碱)以及牦牛奶含有的脂类成分(如甘油三酯等)。该结果可为了解三味豆蔻汤的药效物质基础提供重要依据。
